Saturday morning in the cabin...
Saturday morning we woke up bright and early after a rough night of sharing a bed with a squirmy toddler. Our pack 'n play is at my parents' house, so we figured Addison could sleep with us for one night. What a mistake! First of all, she thought it was an all night slumber party and refused to even think about going to sleep until 10:30. (So much for a quiet night of Kacey and I reading and talking by the fire.) Once we all finally fell asleep the alarm clock (which was turned off) started going off around midnight and kept going off every 9 minutes for the next 30 minutes until we fixed it. Then at 4:30 we woke up with Addison sitting on the floor by our heads. We have no idea how she got there. (We had moved the mattress to the floor in the living room so we could be by the fire, and in hopes of her sleeping next to us on the couch.) It was a rough night, but we survived!
The next morning, you guessed it, we read more books!

Addison has started finding Papa Jody just about everywhere. Since Papa Jody rides a Harley, she thinks every motorcycle rider is her Papa. So we hear "Papa" or "Pfffft" every time one passes by. This particular morning was perfect weather, which in the hill country means all the Harley riders are out. We must've heard "Papa" a thousand times before lunch. She also thinks anyone riding a bicycle in one of her books is Papa. This particular Elmo book has a green man riding a bicycle in it, so it must be Papa. Here Kacey and Addison are both pointing out Papa by calling him by his name, "Pfffft."
