5 Months Old

Sweet Macie Kate is 5 months old. She is just the sweetest, happiest baby, and we couldn't be more in love with her. She greets us every morning with the biggest smile. It's usually one of those full body smiles that starts with her mouth and moves all the way down to her toes. Too cute! She still adores her big sister and will laugh at her no matter what she's talking about or doing. It goes both ways - Addison loves her baby sister and takes her role as big sister very seriously. She gets upset when Macie Kate is crying and tries to soothe her by talking sweet to her, giving her the paci, or reading a book to her. The other day we were all in the car and Macie Kate was crying. Addison didn't like that and said, "Mommy, your daughter is crying." It was cute! Macie is still nursing throughout the day and loves falling asleep in my arms. (So much so that I am struggling getting her to nap in her bed.) When she's nursing or sleeping in my arms she will find something to hold onto like my shirt or necklace, and she won't let go with that tight little grip. It's so sweet. She has started eating cereal once a day and is doing really well with it. It's hard to believe that 5 short months ago she came into our lives. We feel so blessed to have such a healthy, beautiful, happy baby!
